Teens Ministry Philosophy:
Matthew 28: 19-20: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Goal: To develop wholesome, mature, Christ-like young adults to reach the world. (Ephesians 4:11-12). Our goal is divided into seven areas:
1. Salvation - lead each teen to salvation.
2. Scripture study - get teen(s) to study the Bible and memorize scriptures.
3. Separation - emphasize to teen(s) the importance of separating from ungodliness through self-discipline.
4. Surrender - encourage teen(s) to let Christ control every aspect of their life.
5. Soul-Winning - help teen(s) make decision to be a soul-winner.
6. Sacrifice of praise - help teen(s) foster an attitude of praise and thanksgiving in every situation.
7. Servanthood - teach teen(s) to love unselfishly by loving God and others.
Thrust: Help teen(s) grow mentally, physically, spiritually and socially by:
1. Focusing on evangelism in every meeting.
2. Emphasizing discipleship in all areas of life.
3. Having a concentrated program of Bible study.
Activities: All activities will be done to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
