The Music Ministry of the Hampton Roads Indepenent Baptist Church consists of the Worship Choir. As a whole, the Music Ministry seeks to glorify God, using our talents to make music of excellence that reflects on the One who is the source of all good gifts. Our desire is to worship God "in spirit and truth" (John 4:24) "uniting our voices in praise" (2 Chronicles 5:13).

The Worship Choir is under the direction of Deacon Alec Gray. The choir rehearses each Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM and Sunday evenings at 4:30 PM. The only exception is the fourth Sunday of each month, when the choir takes a well-deserved break from rehearsal. The choir sings and leads worship each Sunday and performs several old-fashioned, bible hymns with accompaniment from our electric piano, throughout the year. The choir is an integral part of our gospel ministry, as they faithully prepare the hearts of God’s people to receive His word through song.
